Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026. This version replaces all earlier versions.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for www.motojini.com is MOTOJINI Parts & Accessories, 1st Floor, Trading Plaza No. 2, Huanan City, Xi'an, China. For any question about this policy or to exercise your rights, write to motojini@outlook.com. We answer privacy requests from that address.

2. What we collect

  • Order and account data: name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number, order history, and the content of messages you send us.
  • Transaction data: the items ordered, amounts, currency, and payment status. Full card numbers are entered on our payment provider's own page and are never stored by us.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring page, and pages viewed on this store.
  • Marketing data: your preferences for receiving marketing, and the advertising identifiers described in section 6.

3. Why we use it, and the legal basis

  • To process and deliver your order — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). This includes taking payment, arranging shipping, handling returns and providing customer support.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), such as retaining invoices and customs documentation.
  • To prevent fraud, secure the store and resolve disputes — our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in protecting our business and our customers.
  • To measure and improve the store — our legitimate interests in understanding how the store is used, using aggregated and, where possible, de-identified data.
  • To show you advertising and send you marketing — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where consent is required, which you can withdraw at any time. Direct marketing to existing customers about similar products may rely on our legitimate interests where local law permits it.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only where necessary, and only with parties acting on our instructions or with their own legal obligations:

  • Platform and hosting: SHOPLINE, which operates this storefront, and Cloudflare, which provides content delivery and security filtering.
  • Payment providers: the providers behind the payment methods shown at checkout, including card processors and PayPal. They act as independent controllers for their own fraud-prevention and compliance purposes and are governed by their own privacy policies.
  • Carriers: DHL, UPS, TNT, FedEx and EMS, which need your name, address and telephone number to deliver your parcel.
  • Advertising and measurement partners: TikTok, where you have consented to advertising cookies as described in section 6.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: where we are required by law, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

We are established in China and our service providers are located in several countries. Your data may therefore be transferred to and processed outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with the technical and organisational measures described in section 8.

6. Cookies and advertising identifiers

We use four categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the cart, checkout, session management and security. These cannot be switched off because the store does not work without them.
  • Preferences — remember your language, currency and cookie choices. Our consent tool stores your choices in a cookie named _cmp_a.
  • Security — Cloudflare sets _cfuvid to distinguish individual users for bot and abuse protection. It is marked HttpOnly and Secure.
  • Advertising and measurement — set by TikTok through the TikTok Pixel. These record whether an ad led to a visit or a purchase. They are used only where you have consented.

You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent stops future collection but does not affect processing that already took place lawfully.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or any Google advertising product on this store.

7. How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records: kept for as long as required by tax, accounting and consumer-protection law, and for the period during which a claim can be brought.
  • Customer account data: kept while your account is open, and deleted or anonymised after a sustained period of inactivity.
  • Customer service correspondence: kept for the period needed to resolve the matter and to evidence how it was handled.
  • Advertising and measurement data: kept according to the retention settings of the relevant provider, or until you withdraw consent.

When data is no longer needed we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.

8. How we protect it

The store is served exclusively over HTTPS with TLS 1.3, and HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS. Payment details are handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers and are never stored on our servers. Access to customer data is restricted to staff and contractors who need it for the purposes in section 3. We use a web application firewall and rate limiting at the network edge, and we apply the principle of least privilege to administrative access.

9. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is used, and to access a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data rectified;
  • have your data erased where there is no overriding legal reason for us to keep it;
  • restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing;
  • receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already took place;
  • not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not carry out such processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email motojini@outlook.com. We respond within one month and may ask you to verify your identity first. Exercising your rights is free of charge.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

10. Children

This store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The version published on this page, with the date shown at the top, is the version in force. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
